Is your scale lying to you?

If you have been on a weightloss journey and the scale has stopped moving or maybe has started to move in the wrong direction then this post is for you πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Let me start by saying that I feel you, I have been there and I know exactly how frustrating that can be πŸ˜‘

I am sure we have all heard it before but just incase you haven't you need to remember that muscle weighs more than fat but thankfully it takes up less space 😏

So how can you tell if your scale is lying to you or if you just aren't doing enough 😬

✔️You are using weight training as all or most of your exercise
✔️You have been losing weight consistently but has recently stopped
✔️You are eating healthy including tracking your caloric intake and output and are maintaining a caloric deficit
✔️You haven't changed your training or diet

If these points apply to you then chances are your body is starting to build more muscle than fat burning.
Which as frustring as it is to not see that scale moving towards the goals we may have set for ourselves building muscle is amazing! ❤️

There are so many ways to measure our success than just on the scale! If your scale is lying to you then it's time to start recognizing and celebrating your non-scale victories πŸ™ŒπŸ» Here are a few ways to do that:
πŸ’ͺ🏼 Take body measurements
πŸ’ͺ🏼Take pictures
πŸ’ͺ🏼Pay attention to how your clothes are fitting your new body
πŸ’ͺ🏼Pay attention to how your body moves. For example: getting off the floor from kneeling for me used to involve grunting accompanied by needing to push off the ground &/or my knee 😬 but now I can get up from a kneeling without grunting and without using my hands for assistance 😍

The point is keep doing what your doing but stop putting so much pressure on that number on the scale and start paying attention to the way your body is changing.

Until next time πŸ‘‹πŸ» 😘
